Hama Hama Oysters Unite A Family To Their Land & Community

Below, you will find a snippet of the written component to the video I produced for Foodable Network. This is probably my favorite episode I have ever produced, for the simple reason that I worked so hard to give this video a mini-doc feel to it. There was a lot of pre-planning, storyboarding, conference calls and creative meetings with colleagues that went into this production. I was given the freedom to make the Hama Hama, Food As A Lifestyle episode into what I wanted it to be and I feel like I successfully achieved my vision with the help of my team. The article was also a joy to write and I think it gives great context to the episode.

“It’s probably one of the most beautiful places on the planet...” says Adam James, operation manager at Hama Hama Oyster Company, referring to the farm bed located at the mouth of one of the shortest, coldest, and least developed rivers in Washington’s Olympic Peninsula: Hamma Hamma River.

“You could be out there, on a clear winter night, and the Olympics are blanketed in snow and the moon’s out, the stars are out and you almost don’t even need your headlamp...”

Coyo Taco Doesn't Cut Corners When It Comes to High-Quality, Modern Mexican Food

Below, you will find a snippet of the written component to the video I produced for Foodable Network. This was an extremely fun episode to produce and it served as the first of a series, called REACH Miami, launched early this year.

Coyo Taco resides inside Miami’s revitalized neighborhood of Wynwood, a district that was transformed through graffiti art by visionaries Tony Goldman and Jeffrey Deitch.

Coyo, as locals call it, is one of the most popular fast-casual modern-Mexican cuisine concepts in the area. It features outdoor seating with four royal blue, communal-style picnic tables that sit eight people comfortably, along with large umbrellas for a sun-and-rainproof experience. The simple industrial style that reigns the interior of Coyo allows its open kitchen to take center stage, where guests can watch the hard-working staff prepare their food from the comfort of their high-top table or booth seating.

Restaurants Go Head-To-Head For "Top Dish": Petite Maison

This was a tough, yet, fun episode to produce. I worked on this project from Florida and coordinated everything to be filmed in Canada. It was tough because I was tasked with finding an influencer with a decent local following to participate in the episode. Mission accomplished! Part of the process to create these videos is doing A LOT of research and I really enjoyed getting to know the food scene in Montreal through pictures, reviews and videos online. It helped that Chef St-Pierre had a great personality— which helped making the process a smooth one. He was such a joy to correspond with.

"Top Dish" Round Two: Vancouver's Cinara

This video is the second part of the "Top Dish" series. Again, it was a tough, yet, fun episode to produce too. I worked on this project from Florida and coordinated everything to be filmed in Canada. It was tough because I was tasked with finding an influencer with a decent local following to participate in the episode. Mission accomplished! Mijune Pak was very easy to work with as a talent and it helped she was already knowledgable of the Vancouver food scene. Chef Lucais Syme, too was a pleasure to correspond with. He was flexible with our crew on site and went above a beyond with his dish demonstrations.
